Privacy Policy
Plain-English summary: the tools run in your browser, we don't make you sign up, and we use privacy-friendly analytics. Where we show ads or affiliate links, third parties may set cookies — that's disclosed in full below.

Who we are
This policy covers Quidpad (https://quidpad.com), a website of free money tools for UK freelancers and small businesses. It explains what data is and isn't collected when you use the site, and how third-party advertising and affiliate partners fit in. If you have any questions, please contact us.
The short version
- You do not need an account, and we don't ask for your name or email to use any tool.
- The calculators and the invoice generator run entirely in your browser. The figures you type, and any invoice details or logo, are not sent to or stored on our servers.
- Our own analytics are cookieless and aggregated — no cross-site tracking, no advertising profile built by us.
- We may show third-party ads and include affiliate links. Those third parties (for example Google) may set their own cookies. This is disclosed and explained below.
Data you enter into the tools
Everything you enter into a Quidpad calculator or the invoice generator is processed locally on your device. Amounts, salaries, day rates, client and invoice details, and any uploaded logo stay in your browser; the generated PDF is created on your device. We do not receive, transmit or store this information. Some tools may save a draft in your browser's local storage so you can pick up where you left off — that data never leaves your device and you can clear it at any time via your browser.
Analytics
To understand which tools are useful and roughly how many people visit, we use privacy-first, cookieless analytics. This kind of analytics counts visits in aggregate and does not set cookies, does not store personal data, and does not track you across other websites — which is why the site does not need a cookie-consent banner for our own measurement. We only ever see anonymous, aggregated numbers such as page views and which tool was used, never who you are.
Advertising and third-party cookies
Quidpad is free and is funded in part by display advertising. When advertising is enabled, we work with third-party ad networks — including Google, through the Google AdSense programme — to serve ads on some pages. This is the important disclosure for how third-party cookies may be used on this site:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to Quidpad and/or other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings. You can also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting aboutads.info or, in the UK/EU, Your Online Choices.
- Where required by UK/EU law, a consent prompt is shown before personalised advertising cookies are set, and you can decline. More detail on how Google uses data is in Google's "How Google uses information from sites that use its services".
These advertising cookies are set by the third-party networks, not by Quidpad, and are governed by those networks' own privacy policies. We do not control and are not responsible for the data those third parties collect through their cookies.
Affiliate links
Some pages — typically the calculators aimed at contractors and company directors — include affiliate links to accounting software or business banking providers (for example Xero, QuickBooks, Tide or Sage). If you follow one of those links and sign up, we may earn a commission, at no additional cost to you. The partner may use cookies or a referral parameter to attribute the signup. We only link to products we consider genuinely relevant to the task on the page, and affiliate links never change or gate the free result you came for. This is disclosed on the pages where such links appear, in line with UK Advertising Standards (ASA/CAP) and FTC good practice.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your personal data — we don't collect it in the first place.
- We don't require registration, and we don't build advertising profiles of you ourselves.
- We don't email you, because we don't ask for your email.
Your rights (UK GDPR)
Because Quidpad does not collect or store personal data about you, there is generally no personal record for us to access, correct or delete. For data handled by the third-party advertising networks, please use the opt-out links above and refer to those providers' privacy policies. If you believe your data has been mishandled you have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site or its advertising and affiliate arrangements change. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the current version. Questions? Please contact us.
